Edgefield County School District Discusses Facility Needs

The bond secured by Edgefield County School District in 1991 was paid off in March of 2018. That bond provided for the construction of three new schools and the renovation of four others. It has been twenty-five years since major facility needs have been addressed with the exception of the construction of the fieldhouse and the stadium renovation at Strom Thurmond High School. With the assistance of a consulting firm, the district has completed the first steps of a facility needs assessment. The purpose of the study is to provide factual information regarding current and future needs. Please look for the times and locations of information sessions being held across the district. The purpose is to provide all stakeholders the opportunity to share their insights. We look forward to seeing you soon at a session in your area. The link below provides some of the information in the facility needs assessment.
